Stone Skipping — throw a stone to pick a winner

Hold the throw button or the space bar to charge, then let go and the boy’s stone skips across the lake. Throw power and the storm fairy are just for show: the result is fixed by fair random numbers when you start.

How to use the random picker

1. Choose how to pick — Stone Skipping or Santa’s Gift.
2. Set the count — use − / + to choose 2 to 50 items, or type a number.
3. Choose what to pick — keep the numbers (1, 2, 3…) or type names. You can paste a list separated by commas or new lines.
4. Choose how many — one, several (up to 5), or the full order.

The two ways to pick

Hold the Throw button or Space to build power and let go: the boy’s stone slices across the lake, skipping as it goes. The harder the throw, the more skips — and sometimes the Storm Fairy appears shouting “Twist!!” to spin the roulette once more.

On a starry night Santa hops between chimneys marked “???” and drops into one of them. Nobody knows whose chimney it is until a gift box pops out of the fireplace and opens to reveal the winner!

Spin a wheel split into one slice per entry, and the slice under the pointer wins. When picking several, the winning slice is removed before the next spin.

Each entry gets a vertical line, and every hidden rung it meets sends it across to the next line. Whoever reaches a winning slot at the bottom wins! In order mode everyone goes down at once and gets a rank.

FAQ

Is the result fair?

The result is decided the moment you press Start, using your browser’s cryptographic random numbers (crypto.getRandomValues). Throw power and surprise events are just for show. When picking several, nobody is picked twice.

How many can I pick from?

From 2 to 50 items, pick one, up to five, or the full order.

Where are the names stored?

Without logging in, names and recent results stay in your browser only. Only results you save with “Save to My results” while logged in are stored in your account.

Can I send the same setup to a friend?

Tap “Copy link to same setup” on the result screen. The link holds the names and settings but not the result — share the image to show the result.

Can I skip the animation?

Press “Skip” or Esc during the show to jump to the result. The result is the same either way.
